Alison Haislip Instagram – I’ve been wanting to post a cover of @iamhalsey’s “Finally // beautiful stranger” for a long time now because this song crushed me when I first heard it, but never felt like I got a perfect take. Then I made the realization that we all make from time to time that nothing is perfect, so screw it — here’s this take. I messed up some lyrics (so sorry, Halsey), but while the chords to this song are somewhat simple, the syncopation at the end of the chorus between the vocals and the piano took me a long time to lock down and I’m proud I finally did it.
