Turns out, I’m allergic to basically all trees and grass. And while I’ve always had mild allergies, the ungodly rain SoCal had at the beginning of the year has triggered an allergy in me like I have never known…I have absolutely NO sinus issues, but if I don’t take an antihistamine every other day, I break out in hives. It’s insane.

I’ve been wanting to post a cover of @iamhalsey’s “Finally // beautiful stranger” for a long time now because this song crushed me when I first heard it, but never felt like I got a perfect take. Then I made the realization that we all make from time to time that nothing is perfect, so screw it — here’s this take. I messed up some lyrics (so sorry, Halsey), but while the chords to this song are somewhat simple, the syncopation at the end of the chorus between the vocals and the piano took me a long time to lock down and I’m proud I finally did it.
