When you get norovirus so severely you’re scared you may have to go to the hospital for dehydration because you can’t even take a sip of water without puking it up and all you can manage to do is pass out with all your make up on and somehow you wake up looking….not too shabby?
And please don’t worry…this is from a few weeks ago. Took me a while to be able to start eating full meals again, but I’m through it. Second time getting norovirus.* Do NOT recommend.
*First time was from catering on the set of Battleground. 80% of our cast and crew got it. Needless to say, we had a new caterer after that.

About a month ago, I had an AWFUL head cold that put me out of commission for 3 straight days. Every time I get sick like that, there’s always this Goldilocks zone where I’m “better” but not fully healthy, and for some reason, I can sing just a little bit lower than I normally can. So I took that opportunity to lay down “Hang” by @matchboxtwenty. My best friend in college would play this song every time he picked up a guitar (which was often), and we would sing it as a duet. Those were some of my favorite memories from school, and all these years later, this song still seems to hold so much. I think I just needed to get it out there. ❤️🦆

Ever hear a song a million times and never think too deeply about it, but then one day you HEAR it, and it HITS you? That’s what recently happened to me with “Let Me Go” by @avrillavigne, and I immediately knew I wanted to learn how to play it. I had to drop the key significantly so I could sing it (Avril can get UP there!), but I really like this stripped down version. I think it’s the lyric shift at the end that really gets me. Maybe you’ll feel the same….
Also, keep your eyes peeled for a Gandalf sighting. 🐈⬛

Here’s a #nomakeupselfie * to give props to my favorite skincare line @muradskincare. I always get so excited when they send me their new products because they’ve been the powerhouse of my skincare routine since I was in my 20s and I’m pretty sure I have them to thank for keeping my face in great shape. I’m thrilled with their new Cellular Hydration Repair System (@kellyfrye, you should look into this), and I’m ALWAYS down for some Retinal around the eyes! If you’re looking to age gracefully, skincare is a must, y’all!
Also, I’m posting this now because Murad has a FAB Black Friday sale going on at this time, and I’m guessing it’ll only get better tomorrow on Cyber Monday. Who doesn’t love a deal??
