Aswathy Sreekanth Instagram - ആദ്യത്തെ പോസ്റ്റ്പാർട്ടം ഡിപ്രെഷനിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിച്ച് കയറിയതിന്റെ ആദ്യ സ്റ്റെപ്പ് ഒരു മുടി വെട്ടലായിരുന്നു. പ്രസവം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ജോലിക്ക് പോയി തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അപ്പോഴും അയഞ്ഞു തൂങ്ങിയ പഴയ മറ്റേർണിറ്റി ഡ്രെസ്സുകളിൽ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു ജീവിതം. കല്യാണ സമയത്ത് ഒരു ആവശ്യോമില്ലാതെ പോയി സ്ട്രൈറ്റ് ചെയ്ത് നശിപ്പിച്ച ചുരുളൻ മുടി, പ്രസവം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോഴേക്ക് വളർന്ന് തോളിന് താഴെ ഇറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. പകുതി ചുരുണ്ടും ബാക്കി പശുവിന്റെ വാല് പോലെയും കിടന്ന മുടി വലിച്ചു വാരി കെട്ടി ചേരാത്ത ഉടുപ്പുകൾ മാത്രമിട്ട് കോലം കെട്ട് നടന്ന ആ എന്നെ എനിക്ക് പോലും തീരെ പരിചയമില്ലായിരുന്നു. ‘നീ ആ പുരികമെങ്കിലും ഒന്ന് ഷേപ്പ് ചെയ്യൂ’ന്ന്‌ ഭർത്താവ് വരെ പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയ കാലം. പെട്ടെന്നൊരു ദിവസം എനിക്ക് മുടി വെട്ടണമെന്ന് ഒരു തോന്നൽ വന്നു. ‘ദേ ഈ കൊച്ചിനെ ഒന്ന് നോക്കിക്കോന്ന്’ കെട്ടിയോനെ പറഞ്ഞേൽപ്പിച്ച് ടാക്സി വിളിച്ച് നേരെ പോയത് പാർലറിലേക്കാണ്. സ്ട്രെയ്റ്റനിംഗ് ചെയ്ത മുടി മുഴുവൻ അങ്ങ് വെട്ടിയേക്കാൻ അവിടെ നിന്ന ഫിലിപ്പിനോ പെൺകൊച്ചിനോട് പറഞ്ഞ് കണ്ണടച്ചിരുന്നു കൊടുത്തു. അവളാ പണി കൃത്യമായി ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ തോളൊപ്പം ചുരുണ്ട മുടിയുമായി പുത്തനൊരു ഞാൻ കണ്ണാടിയിൽ തെളിഞ്ഞു വന്നു. എന്തെന്നില്ലാത്ത സന്തോഷം കൊണ്ടെനിക്ക് വീർപ്പു മുട്ടി. കൃത്യം അളവിനുള്ള കുറച്ച് ഡ്രസ്സ് വാങ്ങലായിരുന്നു അടുത്തത്. സത്യത്തിൽ അതൊരു തുടക്കമായിരുന്നു. ജീവിതത്തിലേക്കുള്ള തിരിച്ച് വരവുകളിൽ സെൽഫ് കെയർ എത്രത്തോളം പ്രധാനമാണെന്ന് ഞാൻ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത് അന്നാണ്. ചില മുഷിപ്പൻ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്ന് മുടി വെട്ടുന്നതും ലക്ഷ്യമില്ലാതെ ഡ്രൈവ് പോകുന്നതും പാതിരാത്രി ഒറ്റയ്ക് ഐസ് ക്രീം ഓർഡർ ചെയ്ത് കഴിക്കുന്നതും ഒക്കെ ഞാൻ എന്നോട് കാണിക്കുന്ന ലവ് ലാംഗ്വേജ് ആണ്. അപ്പൊ പറഞ്ഞ് വന്നത്...ആകെ മടുത്ത് മുഷിഞ്ഞ് നിന്നൊരു സമയത്ത് ഇന്നലെ പോയെന്നു മുടി വെട്ടി, സ്വയം പുതുക്കി. ഒരു സന്തോഷം, സമാധാനം ❤️ Hair cutting is therapeutic for me !
