Happy 60th birthday to my mum. My inspiration to incessantly add to this world. Whilst being there in every way motherly possible for my brother and I, my mum continues to have an incredible life and career helping, guiding and mentoring thousands of kids and teens. Her drive, passion, energy and resilience are at levels I’ve never seen in another human. She’s obsessed with helping people fulfill their potential and her focus on discipline, work ethic and accountability before the incredibly thorough dance training she provides is rare. It produces the most capable dancers/people. It also makes her unpopular as she forces people to be better. The strength to prioritize her positive effect over being liked is impressive. Regardless, she gets messages regularly from old students explaining that they now understand just what she did for them and how grateful they are. Her old students are also now bringing her their children to learn from her, maybe the greatest compliment to receive as a teacher? Her effect and influence is hard to put into words. I admire her more and more as I get older and understand more and more what it takes to positively touch so many peoples lives. She’s a force and I wish I could be more like her.

This is right on a border. A far less busier (but by NO means lesser) alternative to a VERY well known area. Quiet, quaint and impossibly beautiful. The hotel may deserve its own post because the design raised my heart rate (..truly drooled). I’ll update/ post a story with the answer soon for those playing along. Happy guessing 🖤

My laptop’s about to cark it. I can just feel it. Amusing, the things you find when you’re clearing out devices.
Also: the laptop had an episode early last year and I spent too much money (LUCKILY) getting all my files back (coz I had NO idea what was in there, how important it was etc.) which is the ONLY reason I’m doing something so proactive.. Now will I accept my fate and replace the laptop before it blows? No way Jose!
