Pre-wedding exaltations. I was far too excited to get photos so I am extremely appreciative that a trusty bestie had her film camera. This whole night made me very appreciative actually. It was a particularly ✨great✨one.

Reveling in the last of the honeymoon glam coz once we’re back, it’s sweatpants and hoodie-stealing season🥶 @scanlantheodore I’m so behind with where in the world is Cariba Sandiego (simply swamped doing NOTHING) but here are a few sneak peeks of destination number two. (I’ve noticed a lot of hotels providing shampoo but not conditioner anymore. This is wreaking havoc on my conditioner-slicked styles for curly hair solution holiday edition. I’ll carry an extra handbag, but product I need? Eh. Has anyone else noticed this? )

1. The kitchen in the hotel open 24hrs & constantly filled with snacks (this was us sneaking 2nd dessert because, well when Massimo Bottura makes you tiramisu, you oblige). The whole idea of the tiny hotel is to have it feel like a home. It does. 2. Original Murano glass chandelier and some of Laras (Massimos wife’s) art. 3. Another form of delicious. Interior. 4. The whole hotel is filled with their personal art. This is Ai Weiweis ‘Dropping A Hand Dynasty Urn’. Made out of legos. 5. Exterior delicious 6. Part of Christmas morning breakfast.. which happens every day. I can’t even begin to explain this breakfast. 7-10. The on-site balsamic vinegar acetaia. Also filled with art and lit like an exhibition. Everything is beautiful🙄 ‘Slow food, fast cars’ is the mantra (I haven’t included any of the Ferraris on site) and it’s spot on. The whole experience is so considered. It celebrates Italy and its food in a such an interesting and modern way. The bucket list is slightly shorter.

What do volcano-fuelled natural saunas, a film festival in a castle and The Talented Mr Ripley have in common?.. This Italian island also wouldn’t let me read due to the unfortunate 360 degree views. Oh we’ll be back.
This was a reeeally specific spot that we ticked off the bucket list. Still Italy! A (most?) famous chef also known to go vroom vroom puts together a heavenly estate designed around his grandma’s Christmas morning breakfast and a degustation of *his* favorite dishes from his (again, most?) famous restaurant. Unabashed piggery and the definition of slow living. My soul was like this: 😬 (N.B: THAT COOKIE😤.. Those plates😍) Too cryptic?
Everyone is Doing Great when you’re the voice of reason 🙅🏼♀️🤷🏻♀️
