Emma Heming Instagram – “Still” was an inspirational documentary. It was nostalgic, informative and incredibly touching. It gives a glimpse of Micheal’s world—and his family’s—living with Parkinson’s and the truth about this disease. It was heartening to see what the human spirit is all about when you are tested. Thank you to @realmikejfox and @tracy.pollan for allowing us in and educating us and for all you do within this space. You don’t have to but it’s crystal clear it’s being done for the greater good which is so very admirable and inspiring. Parkinson’s disease effects nearly one million people in the US and more than 10 million worldwide. It’s the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s disease. The Michael J. Fox Foundation was created to eliminate Parkinson’s disease within our lifetime. To date it has raised more than 1 billion to fund research programs. This year through the foundations PPMI study, they helped discover a biological test that can detect Parkinson’s.
