Nothing new here, but worth saying on this dark December day where we celebrate light: It can be difficult to become aware that we’re Captains of our own lives. Some of us keep looking to others, comparing ourselves, doing the same as everyone else because it feels safe. And we believe we need to do this our that to be accepted. I’ve done it, many times. But that might undermine what really gives me joy.
