Through his practice he investigates the mundanity of everyday existence, multiplicity in perception and the evolving relationship between humans and machines. Working with found objects, and motifs of faceless heads, and morphed figures, Akhtar renders a peculiar absurdity in his work that emphasises on the sometimes irrational nature of contemporary life.
