Michaela Watkins Instagram – Last night’s #Paint premiere was maybe the best I’ve ever been to for a variety of reasons.
1: it was so fun to make because this cast is RIDICULOUSLY funny and talented.
2: @britmcadams wrote and directed the hell out of it. This is a 12 year process and it’s finally out in the world.
3: @anniesertich @amyslomo @dvanfang @nickwcollins @fred4all were the BEST dates
4: lots of @thegroundlings pals peppered in the film and they are as ever- great comedians and great humans. @barahsakers @therealsmedley @scottbeehner @rygaul (and of course @wendimclendoncovey our hysterical costar)
5: I saw the film for the first time in its completion and — ITS GREAT. One never knows how things will turn out and it’s such a quirky specific little gem IN MY OPINION.
6: so much of the cast and crew flew out for last night and we got to reunite the family. Special props to @yulitzin our hair dept head, who took a day trip from her job in Florida to be here and did my hair last night. @allie_pearce (cost designer and hottie in the Photo Booth w/ me) @ricardolouison and so many more. Forgive me.
The only bummer was @ciararenee8 was too busy starring in her play @geffenplayhouse to attend and she was DEEPLY MISSED. (Pictures from set above) and also EXTREMELY MISSED is @lusiastrus who makes me guffaw on and off screen. Genius
