It was impossible in my home country, because anything with Pussy Riot’s participation would get shut down immediately. It left me feel toxic, poisonous, rotten, I wouldn’t dare to dream or to build, always being silenced and prohibited, an alien in my own country. I’m bringing my teenage dream of taking over a building to Santa Fe, to @container_turnercarroll – CONTAINER’s Tonya and Michael I’ve met at the opening of Putin’s Ashes at @jeffreydeitchgallery. @judy.chicago told Tonya and Michael that they should travel from Santa Fe to LA to see the exhibit, and they did (!!) Putin’s Ashes is an evolving project. I’m bringing 150 new artworks to Santa Fe.
