Right now, I am so diligently dedicated to and passionate about one of the strongest campaigns I have ever started with my peers called #CPDoutofCCS ( @cpdoutofccs). This campaign aims to remove the presence of the Columbus Police Officers in Columbus City Schools. It is time that we re-imagine a world without police in our schools. Schools are supposed to be a haven for students, not a war zone. Statistics have shown time and time again that the implementation of cops in schools increases the school-to-prison pipeline, and further traumatizes Black and brown youth. We have to choose the students of Columbus City Schools first.
