Tiara Jacquelina Instagram – Our 2nd 24 hours in #Kuching begins with MORE FOOD 😫 Super yummy though, dayak traditional food at @lepaurestaurant. To add to the calories, we EACH had a huge #AisKrimGulaApong with boba beads and Nestum topping by the waterfront. It was SO GOOD 😪😪😪 Ok, to ease our guilt, we walked across the bridge and around Chinatown, for an hour. The next morning, Effendi suggested we get up early to walk along the Waterfront before the city woke up, and so we did, and that was just serendipitous. It was lovely to see Kuching without traffic (and without all those colourful lights, for a change), and to spontaneously jump on a boat to go across the river. The Malay kampung across the river was such a lovely discovery. We had SEVERAL cars drive past us, and the people in it would stop and get down to say hello excitedly and chat with us – that was so charming and warm, I thought. Nobody talks to each other these days! After the morning walk, we went to @sarawakculturalvillage_scv where we were given such a warm reception by Jane and her team. Did a little tour, had a few discussions and then ATE SOME MORE – this time it was “highlander rice” which was black in colour, accompanied by shredded fish, petai and shredded beef.
Tiara Jacquelina Instagram – @prestigemalaysia’s Women Of Power event on Friday was SUCH A VIBE, I’m still reeling from the energy of all the incredible women @natashakraal and team brought together at the W Hotel ballroom. There were activists, sportswomen, bankers, politicians, even a super cool lady judge and so many other women from such diverse backgrounds, all united in the spirit of sisterhood. There were very heartfelt and inspirational sharings on stage, networking around the ballroom, lots of selfies of course, and the food was YUMMMMMS. I loved every moment – thank you Prestige for enabling this, and for empowering and uniting us all 💜 I had I’m Every Woman playing on my Spotify this morning, and I was dancing as I brushed my teeth and remembering how i looked at @tinizainudin9, we got up from our seats and DANCED like nobody was watching, and then got the entire ballroom to get up and join us. It was like the best girls’ night out in ages 😍 W Hotel Kuala Lumpur
