My personal highlight was walking the red carpet with my new fiancée Josie Hart. The most amazing, brilliant, beautiful, hilarious, thought provoking & insightful person I know who continuously lives life out-loud. The future is crazy-bright Girl! None of us ever know where God will guide our paths. She’s had my back since before I even became an actor. RIP King! In mourning the passing of the incomparable Harry Belafonte, I am reminded of the passing of an era and another legend, his dear friend Sir Sidney Poitier. The last time I saw these two icons together, in standing next to them I was reminded of how they were undeniable ‘giants’ both literally and figuratively. I never felt short until standing next to them. Lol. Harry Belafonte was a beacon of light, love and a warrior for justice, who inspired me more than he could ever have known in addition to millions of people all over the world. We are eternally grateful for your legacy & commitment to human rights & the artistry of life & love within us all. You will be profoundly missed Sir!
One of the most monumental honors & gifts in my life, is being a father to my three adult children. Fatherhood is the most profound responsibility AND the greatest joy! To ‘my’ father, Col. Frank Underwood Sr., when I was a young child, you held my hand. As a grown man, you’ve always had my back!
