This week, the Trump-appointed Supreme Court ruled that it’s not okay for private or public institutions to level the playing field for people of color with affirmative action, but they also ruled that it IS okay for private institutions to discriminate against the LGBTQIA community. On this last day of #pridemonth, I’m just pledging to do my part to keep fighting for equity, to keep fighting to make this society we can be proud of. (Also, Cas is gay.) 🌈

I’m in Vermont at the moment. This house stood on its foundation for 200 years until this week. All around the world, we’re seeing devastation. Record floods. Record droughts. Record heat and record fires… and it’s only getting worse. @joebiden’s climate legislation went a long way, but it’s only the beginning. We have to take this seriously.

Just got back on the grid after unplugging for a week to hear the news that @cwgothamknights was canceled by @thecw and won’t be able to find a new home. I’m incredibly bummed, and selfishly disappointed to not be able to fully explore my “villain arc,” but I’m proud of the show we made and so grateful to have been able to work with such a smart, caring, good group of people.
I’m especially proud that our story about fighting the good fight also gave us opportunities to tell diverse and inclusive stories—we need more of that on screen, and while this story may not be going forward, I really believe it helped open that door a little wider for more characters from all backgrounds to shine.
Thank you, #BatBrats, for your full-throated support. The show may be ending, but I know this community will keep the light shining against the darkness in the real world… Onward!

I’ve never been able to peel back the layers of a character quite like this before. I’ll miss you, Two-Face—and even more, I’ll miss working with the incredible #CWGothamKnights cast & crew.
