Evelyn Edwards Instagram – After Mary Queen of Scots married her third husband, Lord Bothwell, the tides quickly turned against her. 26 of her nobles banded together and raised an army. Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and eventually was forced to abdicated the throne of Scotland- her one year old son became king and her half brother became Regent. Mary fled to England. A Civil War broke out in Scotland with one side in support of the queen and the other were those who were ruling in the stead of Mary’s infant son.
