Iain Armitage Instagram – I’m reflecting on what a wonderful Thanksgiving this has been. First we had our traditional family Thanksgiving in Baltimore. There were some relatives there that I haven’t seen for three years so it was an extra special gathering. Then, I had a second Thanksgiving thanks to my Rabia Auntie. Of all the things i am grateful for- and there are so many- I was most grateful to meet this man. You might have heard of Adnan Syed, but what you don’t know- because you haven’t gotten a chance to know- is what an incredible person he is. A lot of people who have been through what he has been through might become very rough, but he has stayed kind. As soon as I left, I kept asking about when we could meet again. “Is tomorrow too soon?” I was so honored to be there for Adnan’s first free Thanksgiving in 23 years, and I was also honored to meet his mama. That’s her in the last picture. For those of you who have read #fattyfattyboomboom let me just confirm that Rabia and her wonderful sister Lilly are experts in the kitchen- the food was incredible and so was their family.
