Michael Bearden Instagram – I’ve had an amazingly blessed life! I’m truly honored to have some of the most amazing, and iconic people guide me in my life too! ⠀ ⠀ Clarence Avant, (affectionately known as the ‘Black Godfather’) was one of those iconic human beings in my life. He passed away today at 92 years old. 💔⠀ ⠀ Although it’s a sad day for me and all those who loved him, if you knew Clarence, you know that he wouldn’t want anyone to be sad. As a matter of fact, he’s said to his friends and loved ones, “when I go, it better not be MF’ing sad!” ☺️⠀ ⠀ So in his honor, I will embrace the joy of having known such an extraordinary human being personally. Everyone needs help and guidance, I feel so lucky to have been one of the ones who could go to lunch with Clarence and ask any question(s) I wanted. And, he’d answer every single one! He’s helped me navigate this crazy business we’re in. I learned so much from him. And, for that, I will forever be grateful! ⠀ ⠀ Now it’s time to continue his legacy and apply every thing I’ve learned! Thank you for everything Clarence. You will be missed. You are loved! M~ 🙏🏾🕊
