Antelope hunt comes to an end today. Yesterday I connected on a great buck at 520 yards with one shot. Then this morning I connected on another great buck we were actually hunting yesterday morning. He kept out of range and kept giving us the slip. We kept finding them, but could not get close enough for a shot.
This morning we went after him again and found him and about 50 does. They started easing up the mountain just like the day before. It was either take a shot, or say goodbye again. I asked @nevadahuntingservices to range him. He did. 740 yards broadside. I shoot a very simple @leupoldoptics 3-14X Boone and Crockett reticle. I am zeroed at 300 yards and at the bottom of the post I am good for 600 yards. I estimated the hold over and and hit with the first round.
