Ella Hooper Instagram – I’ve been feeling we need more actual singing/music content around here, as I’m at the tail-ish end of an album cycle and I’m a bit short on actual music ‘tent’, – I’m digging into the recent archives! This one was fun, challenging and a blessed opportunity to do something DIFFERENT (yay!!) in amongst lock downs (THAT fun little “am I actually going mad from restriction / repetition??” era) This was a remote collaboration with lovely man, John Foreman and the Arts Centre, for the Big Night In 2020. A forever memory meeting this woman.. My wise wonderful mum took me to see her in her Nicholas Building studio when I was a kid, 9 or 10. We chatted. I told her I wanted to be an artist. I was from a nothing special socio economic background, a snaggle toothed girl from a tiny town nowhere near a cultural centre. She said ‘you can do it’. I believed her. #seeit #beit
