From yesterday’s electrifying @equityuk rally. We at @SAGAFTRA are on strike so that all members can make a livable wage, and work with dignity and respect under a FAIR contract. The business has changed and like the economic repercussions around North America the middle class is being squeezed out. Currently 87%of the membership cannot qualify for our Health and Pension plan because they make less than the $26,470 needed for the eligibility threshold. Our antiquated contracts have not kept up with the cost of living, or the restructuring of the business. The AMPTP would have us believe the train has left the station, but we know that’s not true. We can stop it here and now and revise the system. We can do it together. Thank you @equityuk for having our backs.
