Pallavi Sharda Instagram – I’ve travelled the world and been in some pretty spectacular rooms, but as an Indian-Australian woman, entering the guided edifices of popular Australian screen culture spaces has always felt a little elusive. Maybe because it wasn’t a screen where I saw myself at all reflected growing up – I was one of its ‘others’.

But on Sunday night during Australian TV’s ‘night of nights’, I felt happy & curious to be in that room, to feel surrounded by many wondrous and talented humans, to sit with my colleagues & to answer some of the questions that inner child Pallu has pondered about belonging on this great land.

Come fly on the wall with me as I get ready for the Lo-guys. Also big shout out to my sister who received the award for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress – the iconic Brook Satchwell.
