Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – I’ve been asked about dancing/ working out when having my period. As a women athlete/ dancer I don’t really have the choice to take days off when I have my period. I have to get on stage and perform. I just need to manage and work with those days when I feel extra tired/ bloated. 

Yesterday morning I wanted to curl up into a ball and fall sleep, but I had a performance in the evening. So I woke up and stretched, did some restorative yoga, conserved my energy, ate properly and when it was time to get on stage, I was fine. 

Today is my strength training day and no way that i can miss that either. @somyarout2806 will kill me. 

It finally becomes about managing each of our needs during those few days, eating some chocolate if you need to 😊, and just moving. 

No- there are no repercussions to health if you move or train. We just avoid inversions in yoga… but that’s all.

TrX SL mountain climber 30each x2 
Swimming 30 x2 
Quadruped banded Adductor 30 each
Quadruped sL extensions 30 each
SL adductor on bosu balance 30 each
Reverse plank hold banded pulses 30 each 
Plank hold SL hamstring banded pulses 30 each 

Swedish Squats 15 
Swedish Lunges 15 
Banded Squat jumps 15 
Calf Rises 30×2

Single arm Plank pulls 10 each x3 /6.5kg
Back squat 10×3/ 52kg 

Burpee push press 10×3 /8kg each 
Weighted Box jumps 10×3 /4.5kg ball

Hip thrust 10×3 /60kg 
Landmine press lunges 10/12/15 each

Step up 8×2 /10kg each
Bulgarian weighted jumps 30×2/ 10kg
