I landed in NY yesterday, and my connection to Raleigh was cancelled. So I maximised my time here.

Trying to get all the cuddles possible before leaving on tour tomorrow.
Kongy gives me hugs for treats many times … but then most of the time he settles down and falls asleep in a hug or lean after getting his treat 😆
Only time we are guaranteed daily cuddles with no treats expected is early in the morning….
And sometimes when he’s very tired or sleepy, he’s extra sweet and cuddly…

The second part of “ANUBHAVA” is improvised. We take suggestions from audience members and create something immediately…. We don’t have time to discuss it really… we just begin and keep feeding off of one another.
We’ve done things on nature conservation, a princess looking out the window, a pig and a cow, a hunter searching for a magical creature. Etc etc

Day 49: #100daysofinnergrowth
I feel like our dogs take on a much larger emotional role in our lives than we care to acknowledge. Our pets greet us with affection and brimming happiness whenever they see us. They are joyous playing the silliest of games…. they respect us, love us. They’re loyal. They are happy with the most simple routines and truly enjoy living in the moment . Their love is unconditional and their needs are basic.
As humans there are many of us who truly try our best to care for our pets, but there are also so many of us who seek their love when we need it and don’t really think about what we need to give them.
Kong’s company is therapeutic in a way that I cannot explain. It’s been a very long time since I had my full attention on a walk or a ball being thrown. I haven’t had reason to run around the house like a crazy person or jump onto couches… I also hadn’t enjoyed the swing in our house so much until Kong… I’ve learned a lot about myself from Kong’s quiet presence…. And I hope that I’m able to continue to grow this ability to introspect from his simple ways….
Going to miss my family. It is the hardest part of leaving on tour.
(Btw, the rest of my family doesn’t like to be on social media. Kong is the only one who doesn’t really know)

I’ve been asked about dancing/ working out when having my period. As a women athlete/ dancer I don’t really have the choice to take days off when I have my period. I have to get on stage and perform. I just need to manage and work with those days when I feel extra tired/ bloated.
Yesterday morning I wanted to curl up into a ball and fall sleep, but I had a performance in the evening. So I woke up and stretched, did some restorative yoga, conserved my energy, ate properly and when it was time to get on stage, I was fine.
Today is my strength training day and no way that i can miss that either. @somyarout2806 will kill me.
It finally becomes about managing each of our needs during those few days, eating some chocolate if you need to 😊, and just moving.
No- there are no repercussions to health if you move or train. We just avoid inversions in yoga… but that’s all.
