Tara Buck Instagram – I will never forget hearing Sinéad O’Connor for the first time. I was 15 when “Nothing Compares 2 U” came out and it was a time when every minute of my existence felt fragile. The depth of feeling, pain and longing in Sinéad’s voice all wrapped in her sharp and wild beauty, took my breath away.
Her voice encompassed the world and shot me straight in the heart.
Then she spoke up, ripped that photo of the Pope in half… I’ll never forget that moment either because I was afraid for her. She made “sensible” ladies gasp and pitiful men rage and she was undoubtably pushing where others would not dare. She rarely backed down. I admired her.
To me, she always felt like the truth. The painful, uncomfortable and desperately needed truth.
