Bertie Gregory Instagram – Meet my favourite African animal, the wild dog. We spent a month in Botswana’s Okavango Delta following a pack as they attempted to raise 14 tiny pups! Twenty years ago, their population was estimated at over 500,000 worldwide. Due to conflict with humans, now less than 7000 remain making them one of Africa’s most endangered predators. In #AnimalsUpClose, we wanted to find what it’s like to be a wild dog, why are their lives so challenging and what’s being done to turn their fate around?
