Bertie Gregory Instagram – Well done to those of you that guessed marine iguana on my last post! This is the only lizard in the world that regularly swims in the sea. Each day they brave 10ft waves to forage for seaweed underwater. The nutrient rich currents that hit The Galapagos are relatively chilly so as cold-blooded animals, these iguanas must warm up in the sun before jumping in. These bright red Sally Lightfoot crabs are also on hand to help keep their solar-panel-scales in tip top condition. The crabs pick off dead skin in what seems like a weird seaside pampering session.
