A gorgeous day at the Bridgewater Country Fair supporting their volunteer fire department and 4H’ers and local artisans. I ate a pickle and bought a belt. Good times.
Been at the sewing machine again. A little calmer than my usual designs but cool and refreshing in this post-summer heat.
This quilt is being auctioned off to benefit the theater where I began my adventure, LA MAMA ETC, at their annual dinner. We shot a piece today for that evening.

Been at it again!!!! I love making these improvised quilts. I let the fabric speak to me. I just toss them all out on a table, chop them up and sew them down! I can’t resist these colors.

What did you do this rainy Saturday? I drove to Milford, PA where I was interviewed by the marvelous David Drake at their MILFORD THEATER. So many old friends in attendance – Sue Cella, Mary Stout, Dale Hensley, Charles Busch and the brilliant author of MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL John Berendt. David gave me a poster from his production of CASA VALENTINA and I think we all had a marvelous time.
