“you don’t wanna be changed like it changed me” ✨✨✨✨ TW: Mental Health ✨✨✨✨ A few years ago I had the idea to do a shoot with colored hands pulling at my face, it was a visual representation of the barriers I face living with OCD. (Swipe to see my OG post that has long been archived…) When @iiswhoiis dropper the visuals for eat the acid I was so stoked to see her also having a similar concept to suuuuch a powerful song that I felt so much of my own journey in. “You were a mirage, you’re not really there” 🐎🐎🐎🐎 Inspired by @slayyyter & the cowboys music video! 🐎🐎🐎🐎 This look was originally made for me a few years ago by @connormccalden who did up the chaps/ bra & gloves for me when I was in Toronto for a few months and running out of outfits at the time! I later made the hat and the bodysuit to go with it & @hauszuk helped me stone everything! 🐎🐎🐎🐎 I’m so happy to have finally gotten to shoot this look & to do it with my incredible mom @sandiverley who took off a whole weekend to drive us up home to the canyon and literally camp until it was cool enough for us to drive to the ghost town to actually shoot… our one day trip turned into a 3 day adventure! THANK YOU MOM! 🐎🐎🐎🐎 Hair was done for me the MORNING of by @the.girlfriendexperience Also a big shout out to sheisbliss for helping me stone and get myself together that morning as well! Hat was originally from @rockin_cowboy_clothing_company painted and transformed by me! (Reel coming soon on the DIY) Boots were from @onlymaker_shoes transformed by sheisbliss & myself! Earrings by @sadndn_ 🐎🐎🐎🐎 I used to try to be so independent and do everything myself, but the last little bit, I’ve been giving up the perfection complex of wanting to do it all alone & it has helped me see that creating is not only easier but much more rewarding when you work with others, especially the people you LOVE!
