Lewis Bloor Instagram – I absolutely love connecting with people face to face while going through physical movement. Work does not matter. Your bank account does not matter. How many followers you have does not matter. Gossip doesn’t matter. Opinions do not matter. The only thing that matters is how hard you push in that moment. I love being there to help people reach new limits and connect with their bodies.

I truly believe life is about balance. Coaching HIIT at a yoga retreat may be counter intuitive to some but what we have found after 4/5 retreats this summer @mornaretreatsibiza is that it compliments and balances out the week superbly. Yoga is about stretching your body and mind and finding strength in peaceful moments. HIIT is about finding your absolute maximum limit of physical power and explosive movement and trying to push a little further past the discomfort each time. 

I find, and the guys @mornaretreatsibiza agree, when you combine 4-5 days of beautiful serene yoga practice, 1 or 2 HIIT sessions + beautiful food and the ever mesmerizing Island of Ibiza – you get a week filled with revelations and pure magic.

Lewis Bloor Instagram – How to stop ‘HIDING’ in your PLANK 💪

Planking is a great exercise for anterior chain development (Muscles on the front of your body from your neck down to your shins). 

The idea is to “brace yourself” in a horizontal position using your Abdominals (Stomach), Intercostal (Ribs) & Upper Leg muscles (Quads, Hammies, Glutes) to maintain a straight spine. 

If your main focus is going for a long hold, you may be at risk of sacrificing proper technique and be trying to find places to hide in your plank. Thats going to look like shoulders and hips in the wrong position to make it easier to hold for extended durations. No bueno.

Instead try switching your plank focus in to how much you can activate and squeeze the correct muscles while in the correct plank pose. Even if you do a 10second plank at CORRECT POSITION & FULL SQUEEZE that is going to be more conducive of strength increase and muscle development than A 30/60 second plank in floppy incorrect position. 

Remember your progress in the gym and in life is directly linked to how much truth you can handle with out taking it personally. If your hiding in your plank.. here’s your chance to fix it.
