As I inch closer to a full recovery for my broken leg, it has inspired me to finish a video part that I had been working on in the Before Times. What will it be a “part” of? The internet I suppose. But it will be my last ever.
Shooting it has been exhausting, exhilarating and bittersweet. This journey has been beyond any dreams I could have imagined ever since Stacy Peralta pointed a rented video camera my way for the first Bones Brigade video – and arguably the first skate video – in 1981. This final project will be released in the coming months, 42 years after that fateful day. Thanks to all of you for the encouragement throughout this painfully joyous ride. 🎥🛹🏁

I’ve been riding this complete on and off during my recovery, and it has treated me well. It is now on the auction block with proceeds going to @manamentors, who are helping Maui locals with disaster relief and will continue to mentor underserved children through skating & surfing programs.
