ആദ്യത്തെ കുഞ്ഞിനെ പോലെ ഇനിയൊരാളെ സ്നേഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ എന്നായിരുന്നു ഇവളെ ആദ്യമായി കൈയ്യിൽ എടുക്കുവോളം സംശയം. അമ്മയാവുമ്പോൾ എങ്ങനെയാവണമെന്നും എങ്ങനെയാവരുതെന്നും പത്മ പഠിപ്പിച്ച് തന്നതിന്റെ ധൈര്യമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു ചെറുതിനെ കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ. പക്ഷേ
കമലപ്പെണ്ണ് വന്നത് വേറെ സിലബസ്സും കൊണ്ടാണ്. സകലതിലും നേരെ ഓപ്പോസിറ്റ്. ആദ്യത്തവൾ അമ്മയൊട്ടി മാത്രം ആണെങ്കിൽ ഇവള് സകലരോടും ഒട്ടും. മൂത്തവൾ തൊട്ടാൽ കരയുമെങ്കിൽ ഇവള് അടിക്ക് അടി തിരിച്ചടി മട്ടാണ്. പത്മയ്ക്ക് ഭക്ഷണംന്ന് എഴുതി കണ്ടാൽ വയറു നിറയുമെങ്കിൽ ചെറിയവൾ എഴുനേൽക്കുന്നതേ ബിരിയാണി ചോദിച്ചാണ്. അമ്മ ജോലിക്ക് പോകാനിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ മൂത്തവൾക്ക് ഇപ്പോഴും സങ്കടമാണെങ്കിൽ ഇളയവൾ ഒരു റ്റാ റ്റാ തന്നാൽ ഭാഗ്യം. ഡീ പപ്പാ ന്ന് ചേച്ചിയെ വിളിക്കുന്ന അവളുടെ കളറു പെൻസിൽ മുതൽ ഐ പാഡ് വരെ കട്ടോണ്ട് പോകുന്ന കുഞ്ഞാപ്പി. പത്മയെ സോഫയിൽ ഇരുത്തി പോയാൽ ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ കഴിഞ്ഞ് വന്നു നോക്കിയാലും അവിടെത്തന്നെ കാണുമായിരുന്നു. ഇവളെ നിലത്ത് വച്ചാൽ പിന്നെ കട്ടിലിന്റെ അടിയിലോ ഡൈനിങ് ടേബിളിന്റെ മുകളിലോ നോക്കിയാ മതി.
വഴക്ക് പറഞ്ഞാൽ ‘പാവം വാവയല്ലേ, അമ്മേടെ പൊന്നല്ലേ’ ന്ന് ചോദിച്ച് കൈകൂപ്പി കാണിക്കുന്ന ബിഗ് ഡ്രാമ ക്വീൻ. അങ്ങനെ മൊത്തത്തിൽ പേരെന്റിങ് എന്ന വാക്ക് റീഡിഫൈൻ ചെയ്യിച്ച പെണ്ണാണ്. ഞങ്ങടെ സന്തോഷക്കുടുക്ക ! പൊന്നിന് പിറന്നാളുമ്മ 😘

അംഗൻവാടിയിലെ ഏലിക്കുട്ടി ടീച്ചറും അഞ്ചാം ക്ലാസ്സിലെ ഫിലിപ്പ് സാറും. ഈയിടെ നാട്ടിൽ ഒരു പരുപാടിയ്ക്ക് പോയപ്പോൾ കണ്ടതാണ്❣️ സ്റ്റേജിൽ എന്നെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ‘എന്റെ കൊച്ചാ’ ന്ന് ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞ് ഓടി വന്നു ടീച്ചർ. താഴെയിറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ആൾക്കാരെ വകഞ്ഞു മാറ്റി അധികാരത്തോടെ വന്ന് ചേർത്ത് പിടിച്ചു. അംഗൻവാടിയിലാക്കി അമ്മ തിരിച്ച് നടന്നപ്പോൾ കുതറിയോടാതെ വട്ടം പിടിച്ചപോലെ. ഊട്ടിയും ഉറക്കിയും പാട്ടു പാടിയും കല്ല് പെൻസിൽ പിടിക്കാൻ പഠിപ്പിച്ചും മെല്ലെ മെല്ലെ കൂട്ട് കൂടിയ ടീച്ചറാണ്. നുറുക്ക് ഗോതമ്പിന്റെ ഉപ്പുമാവു പോലെ എത്ര നനുത്തതാണ് ആ ഓർമ്മ പോലും 🥰
ഫിലിപ്പ് സാർ എനിക്ക് എല്ലാക്കാലത്തേയും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട അദ്ധ്യാപകരിൽ ഒരാളാണ്. പണ്ട് തൊടുപുഴയിലെ സ്കൂളിൽ നിന്ന് അഞ്ചാം ക്ലാസ്സുകാർ ആദ്യമായി എറണാകുളം കാണാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ സാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു കൂടെ. ഞാൻ ആദ്യമായി കടല് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, കപ്പല് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, തീവണ്ടി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഒക്കെ കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആൾ. നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന തീവണ്ടി ബോഗിയിലേയ്ക്ക് പൊക്കമില്ലാത്ത എന്നെ എടുത്ത് കയറ്റിയത് സാറാണെന്ന ഓർമ്മയ്ക്ക് പോലും എത്ര തെളിച്ചമാണ്. പിന്നെ ശാസ്ത്ര സാഹിത്യ പരിഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി എത്രയെത്ര മത്സരങ്ങൾ, യാത്രകൾ, പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ…ഹൈസ്കൂൾ കാലം വരെ എല്ലാത്തിനും ഒപ്പം നിന്നത് സാറാണ്. ടോട്ടോച്ചാന്റെ തീവണ്ടി സ്കൂളിലെ കൊബായാഷി മാസ്റ്ററാണ് എനിക്ക് ഫിലിപ്പ് സാറെന്ന് പലപ്പോഴും തോന്നിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
