It's like having a heart-to-heart with my body, you know? But it wasn't always like this for me. I grew up with a whooooole different set of beliefs. Sitting down to read a book or enjoying leisurely lunches? Nope, not okay. Chores came first, meals were on a strict schedule, and even waking up and going to bed had set times. Daydreaming or doing absolutely nothing was frowned upon as plain laziness. Can any of you relate to this? The thing is, those beliefs never quite clicked with me. That's probably why I ditched the 9-to-5 routine early on in life. Sure, I had the security of a job and a paycheck back then, but at what expense? I was constantly exhausted, the days flew by in a blur, and personal growth? Forget about it! I was stuck in one place, seeing the world from the same old perspective. Anyway, back to my glorious off day. Today, I silence the nagging "to do list" and turn my focus inward. Engaging in a heartfelt conversation with myself helps me unwind, find my balance, and heal. It's like fuel for my soul, you know? We're all so caught up in the rat race of success and survival in today's world that we forget to hit the brakes and simply enjoy being with the most important person in our lives: ourselves! Deanna Yusoff Instagram – Hey there! It’s been a while since I’ve reached out and I hope you’re doing well. 

Life has been quite hectic lately, with unexpected changes and last-minute chaos. Can you relate? 😅 But I’m proud to say that I’ve managed to push through it all and come out on the other side feeling productive and accomplished!

To celebrate, I decided to treat myself to a lovely evening walk and stumbled upon this breathtaking view of trees reflecting off the water. It almost looks like a painting, don’t you think?

Deanna Yusoff Instagram – It feels like just a few days ago, yet it already seems so far away. What an absolute delight it was to visit the breathtaking lakes of Beratan and Tamblingan in Bali. The refreshing breeze and abundant greenery evoked memories of the serene Cameron Highlands. We embarked on invigorating hikes amidst cascading waterfalls, discovering hidden gems of local warungs and charming cafes along the journey. Connecting with Mother Nature in such a manner was truly revitalizing. 

Prior to this adventure, I had never seen vanilla beans in their natural, undried form. Witnessing the meticulous sun-drying process for all the local spices infused each batch with a genuine sense of love and care.

Embracing the local saying, « Kita orang hutan, » which translates to « We are jungle people, » we reveled in the realization that these humble cafes and warungs were operated by families residing in the forest. They sustain themselves through the fruits of their labor, cultivating and selling their harvest. 

It is a humbling reminder of our blessings to have such sanctuaries on our planet—places where pure, crystalline water flows graciously from the nearby mountains.

However, it is disheartening to observe that as we venture closer to the densely populated regions, the clarity of the water diminishes, tainted by the presence of waste from both sewage and litter. 

Nevertheless, after spending a day immersed in the mountains and surrounded by enchanting waterfalls, I felt a profound recharge. For me, nature remains the ultimate remedy to clear my mind and replenish my spirit.
