I walked it back toward a nearby door, but it refused to leave my side. At this point, my friend suggested that it might want me to take it back to its home. I approached a door adorned with a cat bowl, assuming it was the cat’s residence. However, the cat guided me to a neighboring door, standing before it as if to request that I open it. It was an incredibly endearing moment, unlike any encounter I’ve had with a stranger’s cat before. I rang the doorbells, but there was no answer. I instructed the cat to wait, and it persisted, seemingly encouraging me to keep ringing the bell. I sat with it for a while and gave the doorbell another try.
