And Happy #WorldEVDay Iโ€™ve wanted to do a highway driving experience on the XUV400 ever since I first drove it last year. And I finally got my opportunity. My friends at @mahindra_auto arranged for the EV to meet me at the Udaipur airport. We then headed to @theleelapalaceudaipur where we spent two incredible days before heading to our next destination - @chimesaviationacademy at Neemuch 145 km away. I charged the XUV400 at the hotel and left for Neemuch with a full charge. 3 hours and a few stops ( courtesy Nihal๐Ÿ˜…) later we were at Neemuch with 53% charge still to go! (The road was quite bad- and in hindsight I feel we should have taken the new longer but faster highway - which we did on the way back. ) This was also my first long drive in an EV ( I use mine in Bombay primarily for local running). I liked the way she handles , the seating posture is comfortable and ergonomic. And ride quality is impressive indeed ( those village roads on the outbound trip were a good test). Extrapolating my own experience- I would say the real word range is 310-320 depending on how you drive. On the way back we took the longer route ( via Chittorgarh ) which was about 220kms and we ended up at Leela with 37% charge. What are particularly liked about the XUV400 is the best in class acceleration. Which comes in quite handy on the highway.๐Ÿ˜… In short, I loved my very first EV road trip. And cannot wait to go on the next one. Thank you ever so much @mahindraxuv400 ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค๐Ÿค

Flew after quite a while. And it was amazing!

Gusty flying and cross wind landings notwithstanding, Iโ€™ve had the time of my life these last few days. Cannot even begin to describe how much I enjoyed being at @chimesaviationacademy โ€˜s new facility at Neemuch. Already feels like home. Though I will always love Dhana.

For those who ask- I do not fly for an airline. Iโ€™m a Hobby Pilot I have a PPL ( refer last photo) and not a CPL (which is the minimum requisite to fly for an Airline.๐Ÿ˜…)

Iโ€™m wearing a uniform out of respect for Academy etiquette. Also, how else could I show off my two stripes ? ( 3 for CPL)
Although look incomplete, in jeans and these shoes.

Next step Piper Archer endorsement. โค๏ธ

Big thanks to Capt Jinal Patel.โค๏ธ
