Gul Panag Instagram - There’s something magical about the weather, that I can’t quite describe. Not warm. Not cold. Just right. It’s the kind of weather you wait the whole year for. P.S. New suit. With 40 year old Dupatta belonging ( formerly) to my mother in law. This is the first time I have reverse engineered a suit from a Dupatta. And I’m really excited. 🤩 I know, the pros have been doing it forever, but it’s such a novelty for me. That, and wearing a suit . #NotetoSelf Must wear suits more often. Because I think, ਮੈਨੂ ਸੂਟ suit ਕਰਦਾ.😅 I love wearing suits. But never end up wearing them more than 7-8 times a year. Usually only on special occasions that justify ironing. 😅 Santushti

Gul Panag Instagram - These pictures were taken three years ago, on this day. I remember very consciously embarking on a mental health journey THAT day with a commitment to be consistent. Coincidentally it was World Mental Health Day, I was to find out later. After having talked about it, hemmed and hawed about the need for it, for almost 6 months I finally decided to get down to it with the discipline of a regimen - it was the only way I knew how to get things done! Sporadic work on my mental health had started over 9 months ago, on the 1st of January 2020 when I started journalling in an effort to identify what was causing me anxiety and stress. The first step of course, was learning to distinguish between the two. 😅 But I was not consistent. I would do the work ( and it IS work), in bursts and then fall off the wagon. Pretty much how most people start their journey to physical fitness. Not seeing myself get into a habit, I realised I must apply the learnings of over two decades of pursuing physical fitness to how I needed to pursue mental fitness. And mental health. I cajoled and coaxed myself over the next few months (which featured the first ever lockdown ). But couldn’t bring about any consistency. Covid was life changing for all of us. In different ways. I remember feeling grateful for the amount of time we were getting together as a family. The three of us. With the jobs we had, spending more than 6 to 7 days together, as a family in a month was rarity ! I remembered that feeling of being grateful. And how it made me feel and look at things. I started my gratitude journal via @gratefulness.me on 10 October 2020. I haven’t missed a day since . It set me on a path and I learnt more along the way including , meditation, practising mindfulness and letting go. I learnt how to identify triggers. And also how to identify glimmers. My mental health remains a work in progress, and I think it will always be so. Because if there is one thing I’ve learned from pursuing fitness for the last 30 years, it is that the moment you think you’ve ‘arrived’, the slide downhill is right around the corner.

Gul Panag Instagram - Seeing the race through Nihal’s eyes was fun. He’s been a regular at the @buddh.international.circuit for a few years, now courtesy , his Mom’s jury duty on @ackodrive and before that on @carandbike and of course his uncle Sid @sidpatankar . But this was his first time at an actual race. I wasn’t sure if he’d last . 😅 I thought he may get bored, and the crowd can be quite overwhelming . And then there was the noise. Music to some of us, but it is still pretty high decibel sound. ( As the Husband captured on his @apple watch- last video ) He took to it like fish to water. Stood in the balcony, watching two complete races ( Moto GP and Moto 2) as sweat, dripped from his face and drenched his shirt . It WAS pretty humid. And sunny. Yes, I think he is a motorsport fan in the making .🥰 And he was quite cognisant of Marco Bezzecchi’s considerable lead from early in in the race. Gul Panag Instagram - Every day is a new experience in the outdoors. And this is Nihal’s favourite part. Camping. From where I come this is actually glampimg, but more on that later ). We first took Nihal camping two years ago when he was 3. I was apprehensive whether he’d take to it. Given that a big part of his parent’s lives revolves around the outdoors and adventure, him not enjoying all those would really have put a spanner in the works. Luckily for us, he took to it like a fish to water! And now given a choice for a weekend break- he will always pick camping. Sometimes asks to go camping in the middle of a school week too! This time we tried a new tent from my friends @nomadadventuresoverland ! And we loved it. So much easier to set up than my older Iron Man tent ( which is faster than a conventional tent that @sherbir and I have grown up pitching - tired , hungry and often in pouring rain) . And equally quick to pack up. Special thanks to our buddies @bimbra4x4 and @taranbimbra for installing it. And a big shout out to my favourites at @mahindraadventure for organising this @mahindra.scorpio.official . We had an amazing weekend amidst the pine trees with clean air , under the stars- thanks to you all.

Gul Panag Instagram - Spent the morning with these gentle creatures at our family dairy farm @savera_godhan_agri_farm 🐄🐮. Growing up as a kid at Tittar Lodge, our grand father Col Shamsher Singh’s farm, a lot of my time was spent with the cows and buffaloes we kept. I would accompany my grandparents as they milked the cows and eventually learn to milk them too. I was exactly Nihal’s age in fact when I lived here with them. When ever there was a new calf, it would become my play mate. By the time I was 6, I was given charge of my very own calf, Laddu( named by me💁🏻‍♀️). I had to feed her and clean her stall with my very own small phauda( a wooden shovel for shovelling cow dung - which would find its way, via a wheelbarrow, into our gobar gas plant ). A great part of the farm life was spending time with my cousins @simritkaur34 @simranpotnis , @vikramjitpanag and @vortex.generator who although older, always included me in their activities. All of us would do farm things together, take care of the animals, help at the farm and even get down and dirty doing kaddu before sowing paddy. Some years later when our grandparents stopped keeping the animals, something seemed missing. So I was beyond delighted when my cousin Vikram( last photo) set up this dairy farm. The majority of the cows we have here are the Sahiwal breed with a few Gir and Rathi. These are the cows of the old Indian era and are said to have come out during the samundar manthan and were given to the sages or rishis. They are the present Indian breed and are made for this weather. The milk from these cows is the A2 quality milk which is the best in terms of health . The old folks call it
