Indy Srinath Instagram – 🍋 ☁️ With food giveaway season upon us, I’ve found it hard to come up with nourishing,hydrating treats that don’t result in excess waste from: cups, straws, spoons, and lids.
Especially for our unhoused folks who don’t always have access to garbage bins, this dessert is a game changer. It’s only 3 ingredients and one of the ingredients doubles as a bowl!
So here’s how ya make it:
Ingredients: lemons, heavy cream, sugar
1) add heavy cream to a pot and simmer (I used vegan, but do you!)
2) whisk in sugar until dissolved
3) squeeze lemon juice into the pot (option to add lemon zest and lemon guts (or whatever they’re called)
3) allow mixture to cool at room temp, then transfer to fridge
4) scoop into hollowed lemon halves and freeze
5) yay!
