Isobel Waller-Bridge Instagram – Very happy to announce the release of ‘Daylight’, the first single from my upcoming EP.
When I started writing this EP, I didn’t know that these pieces would be the outcome. Thinking I might write something soft, the music began to emerge in all it’s contradictions, it’s violence, and fitful stuttering. It felt as if my shadow was breaking out into my consciousness.
In the first track, “Daylight” the moment I spend too long in tonality I come straight out of it abruptly. My unconscious shadow swinging back.
I recorded this EP with the magnificent @12ensemble. I am in constant awe of their artistry and skill, their openness and their beautiful, collective collaborative nature. Thank you Eloisa and Max, and the whole wonderful 12.
