Lilly Singh Instagram – A Birthday Girl 🎈The older you get, the weirder birthdays get, amirite? Everyone keeps asking me what my plans are and honestly all I want to do is lay outside with my dog, amongst nature and reflect on all the reasons I have to be grateful. I’m literally horizontal as I type this. When I was younger, my birthday was all about me. My gifts, my party, my favourite flavour of cake. But now, I want nothing more than to celebrate my birthday through being of service to others. The universe has granted me such an abundant life and I want to share what I can, with those that need it. So for what may be the 100th time this week, I will remind you that my charity birthday campaign ends tonight. I’m raising money for Unicorn Island Fund, in support of girls and women in India. And I’m putting my money where my mouth is and donating $35k myself. So, if you haven’t yet donated, this is your last chance! Gender inequality is an issue in EVERY part of the world (every country and every culture), but the size of India’s population exacerbates the problem there. There is so much lovely, brilliant human potential there that is not being realized. I’m beyond grateful to all of you, because we’ve surpassed our fundraising goal of $35k, which means I will be matching your donations with my own $35k. Together, we’ve already raised $70k for Unicorn Island Fund (@unicornisland). And I’m happy to see that the number keeps climbing. Especially because, I have GREAT NEWS! @YouTube has also committed to a $35k contribution.
