Sanam Shetty Instagram – Donne Biryani for lunch 😋 What’s yours?

Here’s my recipe..if you wanna try

In blender:
Handfull mint leaves + Coriander leaves
1 inch size Cinnamon bark
1 tspn peppercorn
6 green chillies
1 cup fresh grated coconut
4 tspn ginger garlic paste
2 tspn coriander powder
1 tspn red chilli powder
4 tspn thick curd
Blend into fine paste.
Keep aside.

Heat 3 Tbspn oil plus 3 Tbspn ghee in a pressure cooker pan..on medium flame.
Add 2 Bay leaves, Star Anise, 10 split cashews & 3large onions (medium sliced)..fry for 5 mins.
Add 500 gms chicken legs with skin (rinsed well and drained)
Add 1 tspn salt with 1/2 tspn turmeric powder.
Add the blended paste..fry for ten mins.
Add 4 cups water.
Close lid & pressure cook for 15 mins (on medium flame without whistle weight on)
Open lid, add 2 cups Jeeraga Samba rice (washed & drained).
Squeeze juice of half a lemon.
Add more salt if required. Stir well.
No extra water required.
Close lid, pressure cook with whistle weight on.. medium flame..for 15 mins.
Enjoy your Donne Biryani with boiled egg, raita or salna!
