✨ 1) Practice slow exhales to activate the vagus nerve and promote relaxation. One technique is pretending to blow air in a whistle and take a deep breath and then slowly push the air out.
✨ 2) Sing! It doesn’t matter if you are a good singer or can sing in key. Your vocal chords are located in front of your vagus nerve. Singing is an incredibly powerful tool for healing and self soothing.
✨ 3) Move your body in a way that feels good to you. Dance, shake or do what feels right. Learn techniques such as TRE — trauma and tension releasing exercises.
