Repost from @bobbie • Repeat after us: Mothers and all birthing people deserve the right to have a safe and supportive birthing experience, then live to raise a healthy child. ⁠ ⁠ Pushing for solutions to the Black Maternal Mortality Crisis is one of our initiatives for Bobbie for Change, our social impact arm. Last month, we raised more than $20,000 for @4kira4moms’ Maternal Mortality Response Team, which helps families by providing them with resources and trauma support within 24 hours of the loss of a mother during childbirth. We’re also pushing for legislative change and we need your help to get the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act — AKA The Momnibus — passed at the federal level. ⁠ ⁠ The U.S. has the highest maternal mortality rate among high-income countries, and Black women are FOUR TIMES more likely to die of pregnancy-related issues and complications than white women.
