I’m Reflecting on March 7th 1965 when the brutality of police on peaceful protestors was exposed and created seismic shitfts in the civil rights movement. I’m hoping 55 years from now it won’t be the same picture. History isn’t repeating itself. We are still on the road to progress. I am looking forward to the day when someone doesn’t have to die unjustly in order for there to be radical change in America. The Selma-Montgomery march was inspired by the murder of #jimmyleejackson and was violently suppressed the first time it was attempted. It inspired thousands more to join the movement.
