Andrea McLean Instagram – 4 things I did this week to fill my cup that had nothing to do with work:
It was an up and down week that ended on a high, which is always great. Today was the nicest Sunday I’ve had for ages, it felt like every possible box got ticked!
1. It was my birthday this week! 54. Crikey. How did THAT happen? I spent it exactly how I like it, quietly doing my own thing. Went to the gym, worked on some things I’ve got going on, then spent a few hours cutting the hedge and mowing the grass, while listening to a podcast. Doing that makes me happy, and finishing the day with dinner out with the family topped it all off. This card from my friend Jane really made me laugh, it’s like me and @teddymcfeen !
2. We binge watched the whole series of Beckham on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it yet – DO IT NOW. It was excellent, so well made. I’m not a football fan, (I know all I know from Ted Lasso, that gives you a rough idea… 😂) but I found the behind the scenes footage and reflection of what happened during David’s career and their relationship riveting. This kind of documentary was never going to please everyone, which is fair enough, but I thought it was great. 
3. We went for a LONG walk in the sunshine today and had a spur of the moment brunch with our friend @chrisbaber which is always lovely.
4. We played tennis! We were a bit ‘all the gear and no idea’ but it is always lots of fun. Even if I lose. Which I did – again.

Andrea McLean Instagram – This week we chat with former Loose Women host Andrea McLean about embracing change in midlife including why she left her TV career to start helping empower women as a life coach.

Andrea also talks about menopause, rebuilding yourself and dealing with loneliness head-on through her platform ‘This Girl is On Fire’. She offers wisdom on finding your voice, standing in your power and being open to doing things differently in midlife.

We also talked about the joy (and fears!) of reinvention.  It’s easy to worry about what if it all goes wrong but as Andrea says “what if it all goes right?”! Good point!
