Dominique Domingo Instagram – A self-love serenade moment might seem silly at first glance but how often do you look in the mirror and see yourself without being critical? Whether it’s major or minor, conscious or unconscious, most of us use mirrors to view our reflection to see what needs to be adjusted, fixed, altered, polished, perfected, enhanced, etc. Always checking to see what needs to be potentially managed. This doesn’t make mirrors inherently bad, it’s just how we’ve learned to use them. But this way leaves us feeling fragmented. So why not shift that? Why not consciously use the mirror more often to look beyond what’s just on the surface. To look in the mirror sometimes simply for the sake of appreciating and honoring who and what is there and that’s it. We can all relate to having reasons for being at war with ourselves about our outside appearance at some point or another. But when you take the time to get down to those reasons why, they were never yours to begin with. So instead of using mirrors to move away from ourselves by judging what is on the outside, let’s use them to begin to move toward that presence within and connect deeper to that. Because that is enough. Use music and lyrics to sing and speak love into yourself. Or be still without music and use the mirror to affirm loving thoughts to yourself out loud instead of affirming the critical ones in your head. Bring your spirit to the surface and view THAT reflection. That is where true beauty resides✨🤍
