Kirsten Ramsay Instagram – In the studio today, this large terracotta head of David with lovely patina.
Broken into several pieces the damaged sections were bonded back together after cleaning and consolidation.
Due to the size and weight of this piece it required support whilst curing, so using soft, strong but stretchy materials we chose bandages and tights.
David has probably looked better! ….
Much of our work is problem solving as no two pieces present with the exact same issues.
