It’s really interesting, because I cut my hair to get re inspired with myself to prepare for a new film (which obviously got pushed because of the strike). Though we didn’t end up shooting this year, I’ve loved the journey it’s taken me on and the different evolutions that it’s going through and it will continue to morph into by the time we end up starting production. I went for something extreme because I felt it was necessary to break out of “beauty mode” and what’s “normal”. It’s pushed me to re invent my personal style and see myself in a light that isn’t skewed by typical vanity. This has been incredibly liberating, as well as challenging, but I’ve loved the process. I’ve always felt that as an artist, I shouldn’t be caught up always “looking pretty” and I think that’s defined me in many of the stylistic choices I’ve made in my films. I’m so happy that this journey has been documented in such a rad way by the incredible team (listed below) who made it happen!
