Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – “Reverence” , is a word I’ve been using a lot lately. It’s a word that appropriately describes the concept of ‘Bhakti’ in the #sanatana tradition. People often translate Bhakti as devotion, and perhaps it’s devotion, but it’s not devotion that’s weighed down by the blindness of love. It’s devotion that comes from knowledge that results in an overwhelming reverence for all of creation. I didn’t understand it like this earlier… but now that I do, I can’t see it any other way.
