It’s a word that appropriately describes the concept of ‘Bhakti’ in the #sanatana tradition. People often translate Bhakti as devotion, and perhaps it’s devotion, but it’s not devotion that’s weighed down by the blindness of love. It’s devotion that comes from knowledge that results in an overwhelming reverence for all of creation. I didn’t understand it like this earlier… but now that I do, I can’t see it any other way.

I needed some downtime between performances over the past week…. So I found a quiet place between performances and enjoyed the outdoors. I went on hikes everyday, practised yoga, trained, painted, tried a climbing wall for the first time, sat quietly with a puzzle, went kayaking, paddle boarding, slept well, ate healthy and had a fantastic weekend of performances after that.
I feel deprived of nature, living in a city, but I try to make the most of it whenever I get the chance.
