My sweet boys. 💕 Being a boy mom means I usually have a few bruises somewhere on my body that I don’t know how I got, I can find a baseball glove or a soccer ball somewhere in the house in under 3 minutes, I always have an assortment of snacks within arms reach and I’m never without someone wanting cuddles or kisses at any time of day or night. Our days are full of action and super heroes, and our hearts are full of love. This afternoon we invited Finn’s 1st grade class over for a Back to School party so we could meet the kids he spends every week day with and their parents. The kids were all adorable and LOVED meeting our pasture pets. 💖 After everyone left, our family had pizza in our pavilion for dinner and I was listening to Finn and Bodhi have the sweetest conversation. Finn : Bodhi… who do you have a crush on? Jovie?? Bodhi : Huh? No. My biggest crush is Mommy. 🥰🥰🥰 I love being a boy mom. I get to have FOUR guys in my life that think I’m just the bees knees. ✨

Anyone else buy stuff online and then when it shows up, you’re like “oh yeah… I forgot I bought this.” Asking for a friend… Just joking. I mean, that does happen, but these two I’ve been so excited to finally get! My gong came in yesterday (obsessed already…) and we just picked up my cow right now. We have named him Tofu (I don’t eat meat… haven’t for 15 years now) and I love him already. His fur is super soft and he follows you around like a puppy dog. Well, a puppy dog if that puppy dog weighed over 1000 pounds and took poops the size of a puppy dog. 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, I love him and I might just teach him to play the gong. Stay tuned…

I love making memories like these. Since moving here to Tennessee in July 2020, we’ve gone to this same camp site every year for their Halloween festivities. We stay in the same cabin, hike the same trail (with a white wine… cause, hey, hiking is more fun with white wine when you’re camping)… and visit the same hawk (and sacrifice Cricket). It makes us smile when they remember their previous visits and talk about friends they made around the campfire, piles of leaves they ran through and games that were played in the cabin. I hope to continue this little tradition of ours until our boys are teenagers and “too cool” to pretend to be eaten by a goblin. (Which, let it be known that the goblin would, for sure, spit Charlie back out. He’s a spicy little one!) #camping #familyfun #partyoffive

Charlie was the most thrilled with the rapids. Every splash that came in the boat and covered his head, you could hear him laughing hysterically! (And check out the last pic of Bodhi and the “potions” he found in the back of the bus ride back to our car 😜)
